LIV Golfer Provides Update After Miami Food Poisoning
Cameron Smith, the Australian professional golfer who won the 2022 Open Championship, has provided an update after food poisoning forced him out of LIV Golf's event in Miami a week before the 2023 Masters.
Smith, who currently plays on the LIV Golf League, said he is feeling better and is preparing for the Masters, which begins on April 6 at Augusta National Golf Club.
"I'm feeling a lot better now," Smith said. "I'm just taking it easy and trying to get my strength back. I'm looking forward to playing in the Masters and defending my title."
Smith stunned St Andrews by snatching the 150th Open Championship title by one stroke from Cameron Young, with Rory McIlroy finishing third.
Smith's victory was his first major championship win. He is now ranked third in the world.
